Situated north of Lochearnhead, a couple of miles off the A85 Callander to Oban road, the Highland village of Killin is at the head of Loch Tay in Perth shire, close to the scenic Falls of Dochart, in Glen Dochart, in the region known as the Breadalbane. Popular with visitors interested in climbing, walking and outdoor activities, with many Munros within an hour's drive, Killin has a wealth of associations with Scottish clan history and Scotland's folk lore and folk heros, including Rob Roy MacGregor. Lawers is a small village by Loch Tay, between Killin and Kenmore, and Baintighearn Labhuir, The Lady of Lawers, a famous C17th Scottish Soothsayer was noted for her prophecies, most of which came to pass.
