Gartnafuaran is a small working farm set in 130 acres of beautiful Perthshire countryside, with 2 miles of trout river and magnificent views in every direction.
The four-star rated self-contained single-storey holiday cottage is attached to the main farmhouse and was originally a dairy. The buildings are stone-built and are several hundred years old.
The farm cottage accommodation is centrally-heated throughout and sleeps 4. There is a spacious, comfortably furnished sitting room with dining table, colour television and wood-burning stove and a fully-fitted, well-equipped kitchen with a washer/dryer, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and an electric cooker. The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin single beds. Continental quilts, linen and towels are provided. The large shower-room has a toilet, washbasin and bidet.
The kitchen door leads onto a secure private garden of which our guests have sole use. The lane immediately in front of the property forms part of the National Cycleway which runs between Killin and Callander in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
Trout fishing is free on our stretch of the river Balvaig - two miles of brown trout fishing. (Fly, spinner or worm.) There are watersports, including waterskiing, kayaking, sailing and canoeing at nearby Lochearnhead, and several golf courses a short distance away. The setting of the golf course at St Fillans, at the eastern end of Loch Earn, is especially beautiful.
Heating, electricity, all linen and amenities are included in the rental (no hidden extras).
